Description

2004: Space Becherovka a Czech freeware point and click adventure game that was developed using Macromedia Flash.
The story concerns Victor, a store keeper in the Becherovka factory, who quite by accident finds himself exploring the galaxy. He learns that many suns ago there was a fabulous drink called Blog’s Gimelian Superblaster that is reputedly the best drink ever conceived. Unfortunately neither the drink, nor Blog, nor the planet Gimel exist. They were destroyed by the evil Daft Vapour, a semi-legitimate businessman and black marketeer.
Legend has it that one day a stranger would appear with a drink that is even better than Blog’s Gimelian Superblaster and that this hero would rid the galaxy of Daft Vapour. The player takes on the role of Viktor who is the sole human among a galaxy of aliens and who is, therefore, very strange and who just happens to have a bottle of Becherovka with him.
Thus begins a humorous adventure containing spoofs on characters and places from many space / sci-fi films and television programs and in which the player will have to escape from prison, rescue a princess, sail on the Titanic, and duel with light sabres – though not necessarily in that particular order.
The characters and the backgrounds are drawn in a cartoon style and the game is entirely controlled via the mouse. There is in-game music, which is optional, but no spoken dialogue.

Another thing that really makes 2004: Space Becherovka enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to 2004: Space Becherovka. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
