It’s very simple to play GemTris game. Press F2 to start the game. Then you need to choose the game mode(one player mode, or two players mode), difficulty level and game level. Once the game starts, there’ll be one gem and a ring, or a diamand, or a color drip, or ice arrows etc., which are glued together moving down the screen. You can use LEFT or RIGHT key to move the gems, and UP key to turn around the gems to better align them. Use DOWN key to quickly drop the gems. Remember, the gems could only disappear if they’re adjacent to a ring or a diamond or ice arrows. There’s a “Next” window which tells you the combination of next two gems. The “Gems” at the lower-right of the game window indicates how many gems of each color you need to explode to pass the current level.

Another thing that really makes GemTris v2.0 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to GemTris v2.0. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
