The player pilots a star fighter and must destroy the shields around the Star Fortress and then destroy the energy cannon within the fortress, all the while avoiding the fortress defenses. Each successive Star Fortress features tougher defenses, more aggressive and powerful armament, and more deceptive tricks and tactics.
