While this has the trappings of an adventure game, it is really an illustrated story book with a ripped musical score to accompany it. A very disturbing story, where the developer drew on his own tortured past and paranoia to create truly memorable scenes.
Since the game consists merely of stillshots made from Half-Life mods, it is not visually appealing, but the jagged and washed out graphics serve to further drive the mood of the story. Although it is mostly linear, for those who get lost in it, there are multiple endings to find and enjoy. I recommend playing this late at night with the lights turned down.

That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Lost in the Nightmare: Save Our Souls. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
