of the game is to reach all 10 levels of the
adventure. Your man in Blue, is trying to pick up all
the Green Gold Pots on each level. There are 12 pots
per screen. Once these 12 pots are taken, a special
door will appear. Reach that door and you will move
onto the next level.
Of course there are things which are trying to
prevent you from reaching your destination. The
first obstacles, are the red devils that move around
the grid. These monsters will capture you if you are
located on the same row or column. However, there
are light blue blocks scattered around the maze which
you can hide behind. These blue blocks can be pushed
around by your man. The devil cannot capture you are
behind one of them. The other object you can
shield yourself from these creatures with, are the
green pots of gold. Once you capture a green pot
though, it disappears and you will not be able to
hide behind it.
Once you have captured all the Pots of Gold, you
must then try to enclose the devils so that they
cannot move in any direction. If all the pots are
taken (12), then the devil will disappear and a
special door will appear allowing you to move to the
next stage. If the devil is surrounded by blocks
before all 12 pots are taken, then he will instantly
appear in another part of the maze.
Some levels have one devil and some have two.
Remember once the pots are all taken, you must
surround all the devils on the grid with blocks
before the special door will appear.
Another thing that really makes The Goldhunt Adventures enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to The Goldhunt Adventures. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
