After the defeat of the Venusian invasion force, Venus was thrown into civil war and, for the moment, was not a threat to Earth or any other planet. On Earth, the hero and one of the few remaining humans, Voyde Farstar commandeered a Venusian Starfighter which made the mistake of landing on Earth for minor repairs. The Starfighter was only useful for space travel and fighting and wasn’t used for planetary invasions.
Farstar decided to travel to the outer reaches of the solar system, and maybe beyond, in search of a legendary Earth exploration ship which left before the Final World War. Upon finding these humans, he hoped to repopulate the Earth. Unfortunately, there is an asteroid belt that lies between Earth and Mars. Rumor is that the asteroid belt was created long ago by the civilizations on the outer planets to enclose the dangerous planets in the solar system; Mercury, Venus, and Earth. Farstar’s first responsibility is to remove this asteroid belt, which is what this game is all about. If you need help, Toby will pilot the other ship.
Unbeknownst to Farstar, there is a planet in the galaxy that is home to a cannibal race. After eating all of the other civilizations on their planet, they decided to build a spaceship and fly to other planets to conquer and feast. Unfortunately, the construction of the spacecraft took too long and the cannibals ate each other. In fact, they have no bearing on this game at all. Forget that I mentioned it.
There are a couple of objects that you do have to worry about. First is the unidentified space crafts which will try to stop you. Most likely, they are keepers of the belt, but there is currently no way of knowing which planet they come from. You’ll also encounter space mines, which can really kick your butt. You will notice that the mines look and even act like the cruise missiles in the Earth’s final world war. Could other planets have been involved in a war that almost destroyed the Earth?

Another thing that really makes SpaceRocks v1.03 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to SpaceRocks v1.03. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
