Loader is set in a storage room on a space station. Though you won’t see it in the game, spaceships come and go, and they deliver or pick up crates. You control a small truck, and It’s your job to handle these crates. You have to get the delivered crates out of the way to make sure new ones can be delivered. You also have to make sure everybody gets the crates they want. There are a number of different goods types, and the visiting space ships will of course only accept the type of goods they ordered. The different goods types are marked with symbols on the crates.
In the game you have a status meter. It will show how well you are doing. Complete a delivery and your status goes up a bit, fail to deliver something and your status goes down a bit. When your status reaches a certain value, you get promoted to the next storage room.
Just to make your life more uncomfortable, some storage rooms may contain slime creatures from outer space. They crawl out of cracks and other holes in the floor. If they run into a crate, they will attach themselves to it, and start trying to get to its contents. If three or more slime creatures get attached to the same crate, they will drain it of its contents.”
Another thing that really makes Loader enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Loader. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
