“AGwaK2: Darkside Adventures” is another platformer by Bernie (developer of games like “Cedric and the Revolution” and “Reactor 9”). There are lots of humour and funny elements in the story and sometimes you really have to use your brains to solve the several puzzles and get on to the next level.
The game isn’t too linear, because sometimes – when you have learned new abilities – you have to go back to former levels to find new items or unlock secret areas you were able reach before.
Cute graphics and animations (even if the kitty looks a bit grumpy all the time), challenging levels and boss fights and a good dose of humour make this game highly enjoyable. Bernie has done a great job again and I’m really looking forward to see more games from him.
Another thing that really makes AGwaK2: Darkside Adventures enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to AGwaK2: Darkside Adventures. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
