The pack is shuffled and nine cards are dealt face-up in three rows of three. If the pips on any two cards add up to eleven (for example an ace and a 10), click on them. A card from the stock will cover the two cards.
Court cards (Jacks, Kings, and Queens) don’t count in making elevens, but if a Jack, Queen and King are all present on the carpet, you may cover them.
Continue in this way. If at any time there are no cards adding up to eleven and no set of three court cards then you are blocked. If you can continue until all the cards have been dealt out, you win.

Another thing that really makes Block Eleven enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times.
