To apply the patch, copy the file CAPMAIN.EXE to your Capitalism directory. The patch fixes the following bugs:
(1) If you try to sell industrial goods in a department store and delegate the department store to your president, an error will happen.
This bug is fixed. In addition, the president is now smart enough to replace industrial goods which are non-saleable in a department store with consumer goods.
(2) On a certain occasion, if you delegate your R&D centers to your president, additional R&D centers will be built unnecessarily.
This bug is fixed. However, please note that your president will leave some R&D units unused if your corporation is already researching all types of products. In this case, you should consider closing down the idle R&D units as your president does not have the authority to close down the facilities.

Another thing that really makes Capitalism v1.01 Patch enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Capitalism v1.01 Patch. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
