Craps is the most popular dice game in the United States. The players in most games form a circle, within which the dice are cast, and betting proceeds among themselves. In gambling houses the players are grouped around a large table which is stenciled with a layout showing where bets should be placed and what odds are paid. All bets must be placed against the house.
This computer version of the game supports both methods of play. “Against each other” is a “back-alley” version of the game, pitting player against player. Playing “Against the house” simulates a casino-style game with additional side-betting options. Unfortunately, the constraints of a computer screen make it impossible to include all of the side-bet options available, but we made an effort to include the most popular ones. This version of Craps! supports 1 or 2 players.

Another thing that really makes Craps! v2.1 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Craps! v2.1. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
