Meet the the oldest member of the Pac-Family. He’s been through many mazes and many chases in his lifetime. He’s the father of Pac-Man, the father-in-law of Ms. Pac-Man and the Grandpa of Junior Pac-Man. He has been married to Grandma Pac-Man for forty two years, and is about to celebrate his 65th Birthday with a retirement party. He’s Grandpa Pac-Man!
You must keep Grandpa Pac-Man alive for as long as you can. As he passes over the dots in a maze, he gobbles them up and you score points . Also in the maze are four ghosts, which emerge from the pen in the center of the screen — the “Old Ghosts Home” — to have one more chance at catching their old enemy before they all fade away to “video nothingness”. They are out to devour Grandpa Pac-Man, and if they catch him, Grandpa will lose a life. When all his lives are gone, the game is over.Grandpa can turn the tables on the ghosts by devouring Energizer Pellets and special Power-Up Objects. Clear a maze of dots and energizers, and you’ll move on to the next maze.

Another thing that really makes Grandpa Pac-Man v1.3 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Grandpa Pac-Man v1.3. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
