NV3 Tweak was designed to let you easily adjust settings which affect the RIVA 128 chipset to fix compatibility problems with certain Direct3D games or to better optimize D3D performance.
NV3 Tweak can be installed to give you an additional tab in the Display Properties dialog, or it can be installed to appear as a separate applet in the Control Panel.
(We were literally bombed with requests for a Control Panel Applet version of NV3 Tweak from RIVA users who didn’t have any more room in the Display Properties dialog (most of them Diamond users… it seems like Diamond’s tools eat up quite a few tabs). As you can see, your requests weren’t ignored. And even more features are planned as newer drivers are released, so stay tuned.)
Here are some of the features of NV3 Tweak:
* Allows you more control over the hardware acceleration features of your RIVA 128.
* Customizable settings integrated into the “Display Properties” dialog. Alternately, you can choose to install NV3 Tweak as a stand-alone Control Panel applet.
* “What’s this?” help for each item in the dialog boxes with explanations of the various settings.
* Easy to install.
* Can be uninstalled using “Add/Remove Programs” from the Control Panel.
Please note: Not all OEM driver versions support all of the configuration options offered by NV3 Tweak. Enabling or disabling these unsupported options will have no effect on performance.

Another thing that really makes NV3 Tweak Utility for the NVidia RIVA 128 Version 2.1 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times.
