Quotation Nation is a game to guess the authors of famous quotations. The game can be played by one to four players and uses thousands of quotations.
In the unregistered version, the quotation data base is much smaller than that of the registered version. About 300 in the unregistered version and over 2,600 in the registered version. Check the Quotation Nation page for updates and new data files. At present there are two data files, that come with Quotation Nation, Trialset.qnd and Original.qnd. If there is enough interest, more will be created.
Each player is presented with a quotation and five possible authors. The player than guesses which author the quotation is attributed to. There are two modes of play, “standard” and “double or nothing”. In the “double or nothing” mode, the player can double his score, up to eight times each turn, by another correct guess. High scores are kept for each category of play.

Another thing that really makes Quotation Nation v2.1 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Quotation Nation v2.1. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
