The updated files include a new V.EXE player, Install, and sound drivers for use with The Seventh Guest.
This new version should overcome the following problems:
o VESA-in-rom problem. If your particular video card contains its VESA driver within the video bios rom of the card, the new version of V.EXE should detect an externally loaded VESA driver. This has been tested successfully on a number of Cirrus Logic video cards as well as the Diamond Viper (running the latest VESA driver available from Diamond Computer Systems).
o S3-type video card support. The S3-type cards are now supported in MCGA mode. SVGA mode is just too slow.
o Error 20/02 Sound Buffer Failure. This new version should eliminate sound buffer problems for Sound Blaster compatible sound cards. If the Sound Blaster drivers are chosen for Speech, these errors should no longer be encountered.
o Tandy MPC IRQ 10 support. The new install should allow IRQ 10 selection for TANDY MPC computers which feature this setting.
