Gameplay in Wormage is divided between protecting freely roaming worms from tick-like parasites and satisfying their needs. Worms need food, shelter and sex (to reproduce). Each worm expresses its current desire via thought bubble. You can build and sell various structures – food crates, shelter holes etc. of which worms will make use if they wish to.
Game contains 15 original missions with increasing difficulty, but you can also set up a single mission yourself. In this case you can customize the difficulty level – you are allowed to set the number of worms you start with, the number of living worms you expect to have at the end of mission (max. 40), amount of start and end money, mission length (up to 30 days) and parasite risk level.
Another thing that really makes Wormage enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Wormage. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
