Build and expand an Empire as one of fourteen more or less hostile rulers (controlled either by other players or by your computer). To succeed you will need a sound economy, sly spies and not at least a strong force of arms. Expand your city, found new communities, where your people exploit the treasures of earth, build manufactures to use the ores and other raw materials, trade with your neighbors and add the infrastructure necessary to keep your people happy – schools, theaters, healing shrines, temples.
However, keep always in mind that success generates jealousy – and hate. Well, and aren’t your dreams flying higher than just ruling your puny little city? Set up a force of arms that makes your rivals tremble with fear. Use them to build and protect your Empire. Let it grow either by force or by cunning. If you prove resourceful enough you may be ruling all of Greece one day.
