Aces High – The True Air Duel Simulator PC Free Game Download

ACES HIGH is a fun-to-play two player air duel simulator. It requires a 386- processor and a VGA graphics board. Total memory free should be 1MB to get this program running (and even less is required if you choose No Sound from SETUP)
Playing under Windows is not recommended overall because Windows is shit but if you still intend to do so, notice that Gravis Ultrasound sound support doesn’t work under Windows: Windows sound drivers in combination with the game’s sound system result in a crash. I’ve had no problems with SoundBlaster under Windows but I don’t guarantee anything.
By pressing any other key than ESC (it quits) in the opening screen the main menu is entered. There you move with cursor keys and you can change for example number of lives, ammunition, speed of the planes and so on. By pressing SPACE or ENTER when over “COMMENCE COMBAT” the combat begins. The last option “REDEFINE CONTROLS” makes possible the redefining of controls. That too can be selected with SPACE or ENTER. By pressing ESC, one can exit a menu towards the opening screen.
In the game, the number of lives is displayed in the bottom corners of the screen, along with three meters per plane. The uppermost meter is the power meter. When it goes to zero your plane explodes. The middle meter is the ammo meter. If ammo replenish is on you can shoot slowly even with the meter at zero. BUT: if ammo replenish is off and you have no more ammo left YOU ARE IN DEEP SHIT! The last meter is the throttle meter. The higher the reading, the faster your plane goes.
The aim is to kill the opponent so many times that his/her lives run out. This can be achieved either by shooting or colliding. About colliding you must bear in mind that both planes suffer the same amount of damage. A head-to-head collision causes the greatest damage.

Another thing that really makes Aces High – The True Air Duel Simulator enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Aces High – The True Air Duel Simulator. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
