To start the game, double-click on the icon. Click in any row or press the numbers 1-7 on the keyboard (but not the keypad) to place your game piece. Then the computer will think a while and place its piece. The game ends when either you or the computer has four game pieces in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). You can change the difficulty by pressing the Options|Easy or Options|Not-So-Easy menu items.
To play with 2 players, click on Options|2 Players. A status bar will appear at the bottom of the window. Player 1’s pieces are red and Player 2’s pieces are black. Typically, you would want one player using the mouse and the other using the keyboard to place their pieces.
New from version 1.0:
———————
* 2-player play
* Place game pieces with keyboard
* 2 levels of computer difficulty

Another thing that really makes Connect v1.1 enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Connect v1.1. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
