This game plays mindtricks on you, so you are sure of what you should be doing and when you finally see the real solution it was more easy than expected. It is a pure brainteaser with graphically great look, and music that takes you back to the good old days. It can however be switched off. The gameplay is best in the first rounds as you try to figure out how it is cheating you, and what solutions work best and once you figured out the relatively few cheats it uses then the game gets a lot easier, but with hard levels from time to time.
“Linx” also comes with a level-editor and if ever there was a feature that prolongs the life of a game it is an editor. The editor is easy to use and will have you creating levels in a jiffy.
A good and very addictive puzzler!
Another thing that really makes Linx enjoyable for me is how it manages to stay interesting even after playing it multiple times. Many games feel repetitive after a while, but here, the experience still feels fresh because of the small details and different ways you can approach the gameplay. As you continue playing, you naturally start improving and understanding the mechanics better, which makes everything feel more rewarding. I also appreciate the balance the game maintains—it’s not too difficult, but it’s not too easy either. You can play it casually for a short break or spend longer sessions without getting bored. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back to Linx. Overall, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t just entertain you for a moment, but actually gives you a consistently enjoyable experience every time you play.
